Greater Carolinas Women's Center was founded in January 1985 by Dr. Donald Whiteside. We were the first OB/GYN practice at CMC-University. From our earliest days to the present, we have been committed to providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in a compassionate environment. Our board-certified physicians have many years of experience in both obstetrics and gynecology. We are proud to serve Charlotte and the surrounding communities, providing routine and high-risk obstetrics, prenatal care, gynecologic surgery including robotic and laparoscopic surgery, laser surgery, endometrial ablations, infertility care, urogynecology, menopausal care, laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation services and bone density testing. We also provide routine examinations and birth control counseling.
In our area, we were the first to provide endometrial cryoablation and the Essure sterilization procedure, as well as being among the first to provide robotic gynecologic surgery.
We recently opened two satellite locations to better serve the community: Prosperity Crossing and Mint Hill Medical Plaza. We are proud to serve CMC-University exclusively.
